Alshaya Group and MGRP celebrate successful collaboration designed for Kuwaiti youth

Over 100 Kuwaiti students who participated in this year's Manpower and Government Restructuring Programme (MGRP) were congratulated for successfully completing their retail summer internship programme across Alshaya stores during July.

The popular annual internship initiative, run by Alshaya Group in partnership with MGRP, saw students gain an invaluable learning experience as they worked at leading international brands including Starbucks, Mothercare, American Eagle, Bath&Body Works, M.A.C, Pottery Barn, and KidZania to name a few.

During the four-week programme, interns gained intensive insight into all aspects of store operations, including sales, promotions, customer service, merchandising and stock management – ideal preparation for those interested in a career in retail.

"We take great pride in supporting Kuwaiti youth and shaping their future through numerous initiatives. Our partnership with Alshaya offers a platform to youngsters to explore the world of retail by giving them the opportunity to experience it first-hand at their stores," said Ahmad Al-Mousa, Director of Public Authority for Manpower.
