Solaris Terms & Conditions These Terms and Conditions govern this competition. Participation in this Competition is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Any entry not complying with these Terms and Conditions is invalid. Please keep a copy for your records.
Solaris operated by M.H. Alshaya Co. W.L.L. and any of their affiliates (hereinafter together called “Alshaya” for the purposes of these Terms & Conditions) in Bahrain, KSA, Kuwait, Qatar, & UAE.
HOW TO ENTER 1- The competition commences at 3 PM on Wednesday 19 January, 2022 (+3:00 GMT) and closes at midnight 23rd January, 2022 (+3:00 GMT).
2- To enter this competition entrants must:
a- Follow @solaris_middleeast & @alshayagroup on Instagram, for the avoidance of doubt all entrants must be following @alshayagroup at the time of selection. b- Tag 3 friends to the post in the comment. All content must comply with Instagram terms of use. c- Answer the question in the comment section. 3- All steps in clause 2 constitute one entry and multiple entries are accepted as long as the entrant has met all the entry criteria on each submission and each submission is different. No automated, bulk, third party or consumer group entries are permitted.
4- By entering this competition entrants agree to allow Alshaya Group and Solaris to repost their submission on their Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter accounts, website and within any promotional piece.
5- All submissions will be the property of Alshaya and the winner/s agrees to reasonable publicity. Alshaya may use the name and any photos from the submission for promotional, marketing and publicity purposes without compensation. Each entrant warrants to Alshaya that his or her entry does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any person.
6- Solaris and Alshaya are not responsible for incomplete or late entries. Late, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, delayed, illegible, corrupted, or misdirected responses will be deemed invalid.
WHO CAN ENTER 7- Entrants must be at least 18 years of age, residents of KSA, Kuwait, & UAE and who are not employees of Solaris or Alshaya, their immediate families, or anyone else connected with this promotion.
8- Each entrant must provide a valid name, contact number, and email address on the form provided. Each entrant acknowledges and agrees that his or her entry will not be obscene, defamatory, libelous, threatening, harassing, hateful, racially, or ethnically offensive, immoral, or encouraging of conduct that would be considered a criminal offense, gives rise to civil liability or violate any law.
HOW TO WIN (PANEL JUDGING) HOW TO WIN 1 9- Each submission will be reviewed and judged by Alshaya. The panel will judge each response according to how relevant and creative it is. All decisions of the panel are final, and no discussions or correspondence will be entered into.
10- There will be 1 WINNER from any country mentioned in clause 7 winning an Oakley Polarized Sunglasses.
11- The winner will be announced on 24th of January 2022. Entrants who are not winners will not receive any notification at all. The Winner shall be notified via an Instagram post on their winning entry, followed by a direct message.
THE PRIZE 12- The winner will receive Oakley Polarized Sunglasses from Solaris.
13- The winner will be notified via Instagram direct message.
14- The winner is required to respond within 72 hours of notification in order to claim their prize. Failure to respond within this time period will result in the prize being void and an alternative winner will be selected.
15- The winner must accept all parts of the prize; the prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and there are no cash alternatives.
16- To redeem the prize in store, the winner must bring at least one form of identification (passport, civil ID, etc).
OTHER 17- The winner agrees to participate in any promotional activities associated with the prize such as public appearances, photo opportunities or general media purposes as might be required by Solaris and Alshaya. The winner agrees that Solaris and Alshaya may use the winner’s submission, likeness and image for any purpose related to the prize and competition.
18- Solaris and Alshaya assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of entries.
19- The personal data submitted as part of the entry process will only be used as outlined in Alshaya’s Privacy Policy which is available at https://www.alshaya.com/en/privacy-policy/.
20- By entering this competition, all entrants consent to receiving marketing information (including promotions and offers) from Solaris and Alshaya by SMS, email or telephone. You may opt-out from such marketing by un-ticking the box opposite or by contacting us any time via email at customerservice@alshaya.com.
21- This competition is promoted by Solaris and Alshaya and is in no way endorsed, sponsored, or administered by Facebook nor is it in any way associated with Facebook. By participating in this competition, you agree to a complete release of Instagram from any claims.
22- By uploading content to this page (including photos and videos) you grant us a non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, broadcast, distribute, edit and publish such material in any media now known or hereafter developed, for our and any of our affiliated entities' business purposes. You agree not to hold us liable for any claim arising out of our use of the content you have uploaded. You also irrevocably waive any "moral rights" or other rights in any material that you submit.
23- Photos, stories, and entries containing offensive content or content which condones, promotes, or encourages any illegal or immoral activities of any nature, are not permitted and will not be considered.
24- Solaris and Alshaya reserve the right to substitute the prize for another prize of equal or greater value. This competition is governed by the laws of the State of Kuwait.
