Alshaya Group Donates $2m of Clothing to Kuwait Red Crescent Society to Support Families in Kuwait

Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) has today received a donation of over 115,000 new clothing items – worth around $2M – from Alshaya Group.

The clothing donation, which will be distributed to 5000 families in need registered with KRCS, reflects Alshaya's commitment to the local community in the State of Kuwait.

Commenting on the donation, Mohammed Alshaya, Executive Chairman of Alshaya Group, said, "Alshaya Group is committed to supporting communities in Kuwait and we are honoured that, through our donation to Kuwait Red Crescent Society and with their support, many families can benefit at a time when many across the world have been affected by the pandemic.

"Colleagues from our stores and head office here in Kuwait are looking forward to offering help and support to families who are attending the KRCS distribution events to make sure they receive the right clothing for their needs."

The donation of clothing will be organised into outfits and distributed to families and individuals registered with the Kuwait Red Crescent Society.
