Alshaya hosts Dean of Harvard Kennedy School

Douglas W. Elmendorf, the Dean of the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, was among the guests at a dinner hosted by Mohammed Alshaya, the executive chairman of retail franchise operator M. H. Alshaya Co., this week.
Prof. Elmendorf is a leading economist and former Harvard faculty member and was previously the director of the US Congressional Budget Office (CBO). Mr Alshaya serves on the Leadership Council at Harvard Kennedy School, and the dinner was part of Prof. Elmendorf's visit to the region to strengthen relations with local businesses and institutions.
The dinner was also attended by US Ambassador to Kuwait, Lawrence Silverman; Turkish Ambassador to Kuwait, Murat Tamer; and Dr Hussein Al-Ansari, the President of Kuwait University.
