Since 1983 Alshaya has been a pioneering force in international brand franchising. Today Alshaya operates in multiple sectors, including Fashion, Food, Health & Beauty, Pharmacy, Home Furnishings and Leisure & Entertainment.

  • Alshaya Technical opens the first Technical Excellence Centre (ATEC) in the UAE.
  • Celebrated 40 years of Mothercare, our first retail brand and the beginning of our modern retail company.
  • Opened the 400th Starbucks store in Saudi Arabia.
  • Unveiled the first Shake Shack drive-thru outside the US in the UAE.
  • Signed an agreement to become Chipotle’s first-ever franchise partner.
  • Alshaya’s loyalty programme AURA makes its debut in Bahrain.
  • Charlotte Tilbury expands its presence with the opening of its first stores in KSA.

  • Alshaya Technical, an entity of Alshaya Group was announced as the authorised and designated Master Distributor of Swiss Quality Coffee Equipment provider Thermoplan AG. 
  • Alshaya announced its partnership with The Walt Disney Company Middle East to open the Middle East’s first standalone Disney Store in Kuwait. 
  • US-based premium lifestyle and athleisure brand alo made its Kuwait debut in November.
