Alshaya family welcome former Turkish President, Abdullah Gül, to family Diwan

The 11th President of the Republic of Turkey HE Abdullah Gül was welcomed to the Alshaya family Diwan this week during a private visit to Kuwait at the invitation of His Highness, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Amir of Kuwait.

Mr Gül, who was Turkey’s President between 2007 to 2014, was warmly welcomed by Mr Abdulaziz Mohammed Alshaya, Chairman of the Alshaya Group of companies, Mr Abdullah Abdullatif Alshaya, Deputy Chairman of the Alshaya Group of companies, and by Mr Mohammed Abdulaziz Alshaya, Executive Chairman of M.H. Alshaya Co, the retail division of Alshaya. The visit celebrated the strong commercial relationship that Alshaya has with Turkey.

Commenting, Mohammed Alshaya said: “We were very honoured to welcome Mr Gül as a long-standing friend to our Diwan.
