Top food brands win 17 culinary awards at HORECA

If you think the food at Asha’s, Dean & Deluca, Katsuya by Starck and Café Coco is great, you’re not alone. The judges at Kuwait’s leading food and beverage competition agree, handing out 17 awards to restaurants operated by M.H. Alshaya Co. at the annual Hotel, Restaurant and Catering Awards (HORECA).

The competition was intense, with more than 300 chefs from some of Kuwait’s best-known restaurants participating across 16 categories. Their efforts were presided over by a panel of ten international judges.

Asha’s showed its flair in both international and local cuisines by winning one gold, two silver and three bronze medals in the Eat and Live Cooking categories. Dean & Deluca collected one gold, one silver and one bronze in the Live Cooking and Cold Sandwiches categories. Katsuya by Starck collected two silver and five bronze medals, with Café Coco securing two bronze medals.
